Steve Bury, has been working in community development and youth outreach for over 40 years. He has a commitment and calling to develop emerging leaders and effective urban ministry efforts. He is an ordained minister with a Bachelor’s in Sociology from George Fox University. Steve has worked for various organizations, including Reachout Expeditions, Youth For Christ/Campus Life, Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, Northwest LeadershipFoundation/Vision Youth and Emerald City Outreach Ministries.
He is presently the Executive Director of Urban Impact, a Christian Community Development Organization with a mission to break the cycle of social, material, and spiritual poverty and build healthy communities. Steve’s heart is the development of dynamic multi-ethnic community focused ministries that create Godly, lifelong disciples. He and his wife Jossandra have been married since 1990. Together they are committed to seeing healthy, romantic, vibrant, and fun marriages thrive in our churches and communities.
